Haven't blogged in a while, was a bit busy and mostly lazy.

Anyway, we are currently in the raining season here (or at least it seems to have started). Luckily it usually rains mostly during the week (when I'm in the office) and the weekends are sunny (or at least rain-free).

Met J. for lunch on Saturday, we met at Dempsey Hill and decided before to choose the restaurant when we're there. Dempsey is a very small area with some smaller restaurants and some smaller shops, surrounded by a bit green and not (yet) too crowded. When we met there, we decided to go to Jones, which is a grocery store with lots of non-Asian food (Italian, French, Australian, ….) and sort of a restaurant in the store. Of course they don't have a very big menu, just about one page, but the meals sounded quite delicious. I chose a chicken salad, J. had baguette with some vegetables (don't know what they were). So after chatting and having lunch, we walked around in the store (they even have a seperate, small & cooled room just for cheese) and went to Ben & Jerry's afterwards to have a desert (ice-cream, naturally). No comparison to the Italian ice-cream we can enjoy in Germany, but still very good (although quite expensive….).

After that, J. needed to go to Marina Square to get her hair cut, I joined her to go to Esplanade and take pictures. So we walked around for a short while at MS, then went separate ways.

I was slowly walking around, taking a few pictures and sometimes just sitting for a few minutes and waiting for an inspiration. Called B. sometime then, as she had asked me before if I wanted to join her and visit a market around The Arts House. So, maybe an hour later, we met there and had a look at the things they were selling there (mostly some handcrafted stuff, like e.g. Jewelery or Pottery). In The Arts House was an photography exhibition by Alex Soh that we visited, really lovely pictures.

Had dinner together afterwards, chose some curry duck with rice and sweet potatoes. Talked a long time and walked around after that. Now I know where he marriage registry here in Singapore is, this is the only place here where you can get married. As there is Fort Canning Park next to it, many couples go there afterwards for pictures, I was told.

Separated sometime after 11pm, took the bus first to Clementi and then the MRT home.
